They did it against a 500ft wall!

13 Jun

…So said the t-shirts warn by the team who absailed off the 500ft tower at Guys Hospital  yesterday morning to raise money for the Myasthenia Gravis Association. As a team the 6 colleagues from EDF Energy (including my Dad) raised over £1300.

Congratulations to:

In this team was also John, who asked me to print the proposal t-shirt to help him pop the question to his partner Kim whilst on his way down the 500ft tower.

As you’ll see in the picture of John above, he didn’t wear it on the way down. He’d let the cat out of the bag that he was going to propose at the absail and Kim didn’t fancy it in front of a crowd.

So john, in stead, used the t-shirt to propose while on Southend sea front. (He had to use the excuse of wanting to walk on the beach to get chips as a clever ploy to walk in front of Kim to reveal the t-shirt because the question was printed on the back!). She said yes!

Congratulations John and Kim and well done again to the EDF 6.

Congratulations also to Paul and Sarah who got married last week. I hope the camper van card finds you well.

And now as we make our way into summer, I have received a delivery of some more wire to weave, I have some t-shirts to print and I’m officially on a break from all things wedding.

🙂
